Position OverviewThe Audio-Reader Network, an audio information service for individuals who are blind, visually impaired and print-disabled, is hiring an outreach intern to assist with social media, newsletters, event work, and listener outreach.Job Description 100% : Outreach/Communications/Events Duties: Help develop and implement marketing calendar Social media create content for reels and posts; creating/editing videos Take pictures at events Assist with preparing newsletters/news articles Help plan and set up events
Listener outreach contact listeners and help compile/analyze listener data Table at outreach events
Other Duties: Occasionally help with reception at the Audio-Reader/KPR front desk Potential audio description training/presentation
Required Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products, as evidenced by application materials. Consistent availability to work at least three day/week, as evidenced by application materials. Strong attention to detail as evidenced in application materials. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in an administrative/office setting, as evidenced by application materials. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent audio editing software, as evidenced by application materials. Flexible availability for possible evening/weekend events, as evidenced by application materials. Video and/or audio production/editing experience, as evidenced by application materials. Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position.
