BayMark Health Services is seeking a dedicated Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our compassionate team of experts, providing integrated, evidence-based treatment to individuals grappling with addiction to opioids and other substances. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in delivering personalized counseling sessions and comprehensive treatment plans that address both the psychological and environmental factors affecting our clients. This position demands a deep understanding of addiction recovery, an empathetic approach, and a commitment to helping individuals achieve lasting sobriety. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist clients in overcoming dependencies and adjusting to life during and after treatment. Develop patient-specific treatment plans targeting the needs and circumstances of each client. Evaluate clients' mental and physical health, addiction severity, and readiness for treatment. Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and other treatment staff to formulate effective treatment strategies. Provide and manage continuous assessment and documentation of client progress in case files. Offer crisis intervention and support as needed throughout the treatment process. Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems. Educate family members about addiction and recovery to ensure a strong support system.
