Staff Accountant

LHH is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our client's accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with general ledger functions, and a passion for accuracy and process improvement. This position is direct hire and will pay between $55k and $72K annually depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and intercompany transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
Assist with audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate tracking of assets and related expenses
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
