The Role As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing our Linux and virtual infrastructure systems, focusing on both on-premise and cloud-based solutions. Your key responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise infrastructure while staying ahead of technological advancements. Collaboration with various teams (architecture, development, operations, and business units) will be essential in addressing critical issues and enhancing the customer experience. Location and Schedule This position is remote, available from any US-based location. The work schedule rotates every 7 weeks. Main Responsibilities Administer and support Linux (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu, etc.) and Unix (Solaris, HP-UX, etc.) operating systems and associated infrastructure. Provide direct support to internal stakeholders, enabling highly available application solutions. Engage in site reliability engineering functions. Evaluate and recommend standards, practices, and technologies. Facilitate implementation of operational standards and automation processes. Develop and support best practices for risk assessment, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Provide technical support by diagnosing and solving complex problems across various technical disciplines. Communicate effectively with various management levels about ongoing projects and initiatives. Lead the migration of legacy technologies to modern standards. What We Look For in a Candidate Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of experience with Linux administration. At least 4 years of experience with Unix administration. Proficient in automation and orchestration technologies (Ansible, Terraform, shell scripting). Excellent problem-solving skills across the full technology stack. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey technical topics clearly to a diverse audience. Compensation The compensation for this role varies by location and is based on skills and experience. Anticipated salary ranges are as follows: $84,629 - $112,838 in certain states. $88,860 - $118,480 in other specified states. $93,092 - $124,122 in higher cost of living states.
