Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Location: Mayfield, KY

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Our facility is a Joint Commission-accredited, 107-bed hospital dedicated to serving the community with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit, including geriatric and adult populations. - Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions in collaboration with the healthcare team. - Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records in the Meditech EHR system. - Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and post-operative care. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care.

Qualifications: - Current RN license in the state of Kentucky. - Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a Medical/Surgical setting. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start. - Strong interpersonal skills with a kind, caring, and compassionate demeanor. - Ability to float to like units as necessary. - Patient ratios can be up to 1:8, with patient care assistants available for support.

Work Environment: - Weekly orientations are conducted on Mondays. - Shift times may vary; guaranteed hours are 36 per week with required weekend shifts every other weekend. - Dress code: Scrubs in any color, with restrictions on hoodies and printed words other than hospital-related.

Unit Information: - Patient Population: Diverse, including geriatric, adults, and pediatrics (pediatric care not required). - Common Diagnoses: COPD, post-operative joints, diabetic management. - Supervisory support provided by unit leader.
