We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our personal injury team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting attorneys and paralegals by handling client communication, managing case documents, and coordinating the day-to-day administrative tasks that keep cases moving forward efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Intake data for potential clients * Schedule client phone calls, Zoom videoconferences, and other attorney-client meetings * Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters * Draft, send, and track documents for electronic signature (e.g., retainer agreements, medical releases, settlement documents) * Maintain organized digital and physical case files, including correspondence, pleadings, medical records, and discovery * Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items * Assist with preparation and filing of court documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery * Request and track medical records and bills from providers, and confirm outstanding balances from providers * Support attorneys in trial preparation, mediation, and depositions as needed * Use case management software to enter data, log updates, and manage workflow
Qualifications:
* Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in personal injury law preferred * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal or case management software (e.g., Tabs3, NetDocuments, Filevine, LawToolbox * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information * Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

The salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 annually. Actual salary will vary and may be above or below the range based on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
