Law office with position open for fluently bilingual (Spanish/English) full time legal assistant/receptionist in multi-tenant building with multiline system
Primary duties:
-scan documents
-answer and document all calls
-assist attorney in drafting documents and assigned tasks
-calendaring
-run filings to courts
-draft correspondences
-process court filings
-cover duties of receptionist
-intake potential client calls
-assist with filing documents
-Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, as well as any overtime needed.
-answer incoming calls for multiple companies professionally and tailored to each business' needs
Skills needed:
-detailed oriented/high level of attention to detail required
-must pass a background check
-Spanish speaking - must be able to fluently speak, write, translate verbal and written communications, and read Spanish and English
-advanced English writing, speaking and reading skills
-customer service skills and experience
-proficient in writing/drafting documents
-ability to professionally answer phone calls, greet in person clients, and write e-mails and letters
-must be able to draft legal documents and correspondences
-must be able to stay organized and pay attention to detail
-must have validly registered and insured vehicle
-professional dress and appearance required (business attire and dress code enforced)
Summary
The legal assistant creates a positive impression to the firm's clients by informing them and directing people to where they need to go quickly and professionally. The assistant will process/draft correspondences, legal documents, calendar important events, request and maintain medical records, run filings to courts/where needed, assist attorney with projects for marketing, training, organizing, and other tasks necessary to assist the attorney.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED : at least 2 years administrative assistant experience in legal field, past writing skills development preferred. AA in administrative assistance, paralegal or other applicable AA is preferred. Prefer notary licensed
COMPENSATION: starting at $18-23/hr depending on experience; employer pays 100% of health/dental/vision insurance for employee and one dependent, eligible after probationary period; 401k matching after vesting period; 90 day review for pay increase.
