Job Title: Import Documentation Specialist Location: Onsite – SW Portland, OR Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time Pay Range: $30–$35/hour DOE About the Role LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import Documentation Specialist to join our client's team in SW Portland. This is a critical role focused on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of import documentation. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in import compliance or a similar regulatory documentation role. This position offers the opportunity to cross-train into North American trucking distribution , making freight forwarding knowledge a strong plus. Key Responsibilities Review, validate, and maintain import documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. customs and international trade regulations. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve documentation discrepancies. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure documentation practices remain compliant. Support audits and internal reviews related to import documentation. Assist in developing and refining documentation workflows and SOPs. Potential to cross-train and support North American trucking distribution operations. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in import compliance, regulatory documentation, or a related field. Familiarity with freight forwarding processes is highly desirable. Strong understanding of U.S. customs regulations and international trade documentation. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
