Job Details
Duties include management of accounting team, ongoing analysis of financial statements and trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements * Support month-end and year-end close process * Evaluate accounting controls and compliance by conducting internal audits and seeking reconciliations * Manage the accounting staff’s work product including but not limited to for financial reporting, billing, collections, expense management, and budget preparation * Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets * Oversee weekly payroll processing * Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit * Presents recommendations to management on short and long-term financial objectives and policies * Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations * Oversee a variety of special projects related to boosting economic value of the company
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA preferred * 5+ years of related accounting experience * Proficient Microsoft office skills to include Excel and related computer applications * Proven detail attentiveness, organizational and time management skills * Excellent math skills and strong verbal/written communication skills * Awareness of internal control principles * Leadership experience * Ability to maintain confidentiality
