American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with at least 2 years of emergency nursing experience and multiple required certifications for a night shift position.
Job Details
• Work in an 8-room Emergency Department with additional hallway spaces in a hospital setting, • Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric with a variety of acuity levels, including critical cases, • Staff-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4 for both day and night shifts, • Specialized procedures include care for ETOH/drug abuse, cardiac, ortho cases, and stroke (no dialysis cases), • Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and GE monitors, • Bedside and nurses' station telemetry monitoring is utilized, • Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation, • No floating or on-call requirements, • 6-week scheduling cycle,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license required, • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), • Tele exam MHS required and CPI or MOAB preferred, • Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience required, • Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start, • Epic EMR experience preferred, • COVID vaccine required,
Additional Information
• Support staff includes 2 techs (7-7), additional techs at 11 and 3, and 1 overnight tech, along with a free-floating charge nurse, resource nurse most days, and 24/7 respiratory therapist and hospitalist coverage, • Orientation includes 4 hours with clinical educator, 2-3 unit shifts, and a preceptorship period to ensure familiarity with unit flow and resources, • Navy scrubs required, • Holiday coverage expectations vary, • Free parking is available onsite, • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,], • hash,: • 10097973943995437398,
