Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a travel job in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Description & Requirements

• Maintain adequate drug supply; order and manage emergency procurements
• Prepare and label parenteral medications/sterile products; ensure proper expiration dating
• Fill and check medication orders, including STAT orders, and oversee support staff work
• Maintain compliance with federal/state pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and JCAHO standards
• Conduct monthly inspections of drug storage areas and ensure refrigerator temp logs
• Manage controlled substance distribution and records; restock crash carts/floor stock
• Provide discharge medication counseling and written education as needed
• Lead or participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, drug utilization reviews, and quality assurance programs
• Perform medication reconciliation at admission and discharge
• Participate in antimicrobial stewardship through culture result interpretation and therapeutic recommendations
• Conduct pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing/monitoring
• Train new staff, orient employees, and support education for other healthcare professionals
• Experience with medication reconciliation, antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, and anticoagulation monitoring
• Strong communication skills for patient/family interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate billing/charging in EPIC EMR

Active state pharmacist license BLS EPIC EMR proficiency
