Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a travel job in Phoenix, Arizona.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PharmacistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelMaintain adequate drug supply; order and manage emergency procurementsPrepare and label parenteral medications/sterile products; ensure proper expiration datingFill and check medication orders, including STAT orders, and oversee support staff workMaintain compliance with federal/state pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and JCAHO standardsConduct monthly inspections of drug storage areas and ensure refrigerator temp logsManage controlled substance distribution and records; restock crash carts/floor stockProvide discharge medication counseling and written education as neededLead or participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, drug utilization reviews, and quality assurance programsPerform medication reconciliation at admission and dischargeParticipate in antimicrobial stewardship through culture result interpretation and therapeutic recommendationsConduct pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing/monitoringTrain new staff, orient employees, and support education for other healthcare professionalsExperience with medication reconciliation, antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, and anticoagulation monitoringStrong communication skills for patient/family interactions and interdisciplinary collaborationMaintain confidentiality and accurate billing/charging in EPIC EMR Active state pharmacist license BLS EPIC EMR proficiencyAbout Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
