Location: Worcester, MA 01605 (Massachusetts nursing jobs) Facility: Level III/IV NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract Start Date: December 30, 2025 End Date: March 31, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2360 - $2420 Patient Population: Neonates and infants (average daily census: 40; 49 beds)

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Massachusetts RN license (conditional license accepted) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Level III or IV NICU nursing BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required EPIC charting experience required NRP Advanced and Infant Driven Feeding Training preferred Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Successful completion of Telemetry exam during orientation (minimum score 80%)

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants in the NICU Administer medications, blood products, and specialized therapies (surfactants, vasopressors) Perform advanced NICU procedures: arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), high frequency ventilation Monitor and interpret vital signs, manage respiratory support (HFNC, JET, HFOV), and provide phototherapy Support feeding (bottle, breast, gavage) and developmental care for newborns Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, and social services Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
