Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Travel Surgical Technologist – Operating Room Facility: Paris Regional Medical Center Location: Paris, Texas Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Position Summary: Paris Regional Medical Center is seeking a dependable and highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a daytime travel assignment in the Operating Room. The CST will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures Maintain strict aseptic technique during surgical cases Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and monitoring field Set up operating room prior to procedures and help with clean-up afterward Monitor patient safety and respond to changing needs during surgery Ensure proper documentation of surgical counts, specimens, and instrumentation Maintain inventory and report equipment needs or malfunctions Collaborate with perioperative team members to support optimal patient outcomes Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Current CST certification through NBSTSA required Active Texas state certification or eligibility Minimum 2 years recent experience in an acute care OR setting BLS certification required Proficiency in general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and emergency surgical procedures preferred Strong understanding of surgical anatomy, instrumentation, and sterile field maintenance Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
