Travel Surgical Technologist – Operating Room Facility: Paris Regional Medical Center Location: Paris, Texas Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Summary: Paris Regional Medical Center is seeking a dependable and highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a daytime travel assignment in the Operating Room. The CST will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures
• Maintain strict aseptic technique during surgical cases
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and monitoring field
• Set up operating room prior to procedures and help with clean-up afterward
• Monitor patient safety and respond to changing needs during surgery
• Ensure proper documentation of surgical counts, specimens, and instrumentation
• Maintain inventory and report equipment needs or malfunctions
• Collaborate with perioperative team members to support optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current CST certification through NBSTSA required
• Active Texas state certification or eligibility
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in an acute care OR setting
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and emergency surgical procedures preferred
• Strong understanding of surgical anatomy, instrumentation, and sterile field maintenance
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
