The company is seeking a Structural Section Head to lead our dynamic transportation structures team in Hunt Valley, Maryland . In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for business development, team leadership, financial management , and technical oversight for our structural engineering department. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned bridge or horizontal structures engineering leader to drive growth and innovation in the Mid-Atlantic region. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Align with office and practice leaders to implement strategic growth plans and expand market presence. Business Development: Lead client outreach, foster relationships, and pursue new opportunities at the local, county, and state levels . Team Management: Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and technical staff. Operational Oversight: Manage departmental budget, allocate resources, and ensure project delivery within scope and schedule. Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert in bridge and transportation structures; support project teams with guidance and QA/QC. Proposal Management: Lead proposal development efforts to win new work and support project pursuits. Performance Management: Conduct staff evaluations, provide continuous feedback, and support career growth and training plans.
