Staff Accountant Location: Kent / On-site Salary Range: $72,800-$85,000 DOE

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing payroll, supporting international operations, and being cross-trained in accounts receivable. This role offers hands-on experience and visibility into a variety of financial operations, including work with a new UK-based business venture.
Overview of the Staff Accountant Role:
Process multi-state payroll using ADP, including handling a unique hourly employee field rate and commission structures for sales staff.
Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Support the company's newly launched UK-based operation with accounting duties, reporting, and compliance tasks.
Cross-train and provide backup for the Accounts Receivable function, which includes a significant volume of non-revenue-based invoicing.
Assist in month-end close activities and support the accounting team with general ledger tasks as needed.
Maintain internal controls and contribute to process improvements across accounting functions.
Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred .
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to payroll and accounts receivable.
Strong understanding of U.S. payroll practices; experience with ADP is strongly preferred.
Previous experience with international accounting operations is a plus.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working in ERP/accounting software environments.
