Location: Seattle, WA
Type: Full-time | On-site upon start. (Will consider hybrid work situation once established in position.)
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 (DOE)
What You’ll Do As a mid-level Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting government contract compliance, and contributing to the company’s fiscal health. You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure timely reporting and budgeting for both commercial and federally funded projects.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledger accuracy
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures
Support budgeting and financial reporting for government contracts and grants
Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.)
Collaborate with project managers and finance leadership on cost tracking and forecasting
Assist with audits and internal controls
Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory changes
What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in biotech, manufacturing, or government-funded environments
Strong understanding of government contract budgeting and compliance
Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica or similar)
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
