Job Title Sr. E&M Engineer, Mechanical Job Description Experience in mechanical design of back-deck mission equipment for offshore construction activities (pipelay, flexlay, deepwater lowering, cranes, winches etc) and vessel equipment (cranes, winches, handling sheaves, etc.) Preparation of design basis, reports, design specifications, testing (FAT, SIT), construction and installation work procedures. Preparation of high quality detailed design hand calculations. Conversant with one or more of the major offshore design codes (API, AlSC, DnV, NORSOK, EuroCode 3). Conversant with class society (ABS, DNV, etc) rules. Experience in the installation and commissioning of mission equipment. Ideally will have experience using 3D modeling software and/or stress engineering software. Previous experience working offshore during the construction phase of subsea projects desired Travel Up to 25% Job Type Regular Date Required Job Requirements Education: Engineering Degree qualification (Mechanical Engineering or Product Design). Experience: Minimum 10 years experience with at least 5 years exposure within some of the following areas: Mission equipment design for subsea construction and pipelay vessels Vessel and general structure design, Vessel construction and steelwork fabrication, and Classification society. Good understanding of Project Management. Package management experience preferable. Qualifications: MathCAD Microsoft Office Other engineering software such as 3D modeling (Solidworks, Inventor, Pro-E), STAAD/pro, general purpose FE (Abaqus, ANSYS) is beneficial.
