Ready to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below. *This position requires relocation after training in a specific site* Position Overview: The role oversees multiple reconditioning lines and is responsible for ensuring that necessary production metrics are consistently met. What you'll be doing: Oversee multiple reconditioning lines within the Inspection & Reconditioning Center (IC), planning production for a full working shift. Manage facilities to meet or exceed targets in production, cost, and quality, especially when the General Manager is not onsite. Identify bottlenecks affecting site throughput and efficiency, conduct root cause analysis, develop action plans, and execute with the site leadership team and associates. Conduct weekly site performance reviews with Senior Reconditioning leadership, reporting on performance versus targets, challenges, and countermeasures. Guide daily site manager huddles to establish the day's tone and priorities. Support the execution of Continuous Improvement projects at the home site and region/network, implementing and training on process changes. Promote growth and development in Reconditioning Lead and Manager populations by supporting Development Plans and providing regular feedback. Demonstrate Carvana values through effective leadership, teamwork, and communication on the shop floor. Uphold Carvana operating standards and processes. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines. What the job requires: Willingness to relocate, ideally nationwide but at minimum regionally (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West Coast). Ability to maintain high volume and quality in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading a team of over 50 associates and developing employees. Proven ability to solve urgent operational challenges through root cause analysis. Excellent communication skills. 8+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years). Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to stand for extended periods, with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, with possible fumes or odors. Use of safety equipment such as face shields, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective gear. Ability to work variable schedules as needed. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently, with majority of lifting from knee to shoulder height, and other lifting from various levels. Ability to walk up to three miles daily.
