Job Details
Key Job Responsibilities Prepare accounting entries on a monthly basis ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Collaborate with outside departments to provide accounting information to support internal stakeholders in making business decisions. Prepare and review monthly accruals and the subsequent actuals to ensure accuracy. Support external audits providing documentation and explanations as needed to auditors.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. CPA certification a plus. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial accounting/reporting, with at least 3 years in the upstream oil and gas industry. Financial reporting or public accounting experience preferred Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
