Job Details
Key Job Responsibilities
* Prepare accounting entries on a monthly basis ensuring timely and accurate reporting. * Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. * Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Collaborate with outside departments to provide accounting information to support internal stakeholders in making business decisions. * Prepare and review monthly accruals and the subsequent actuals to ensure accuracy. * Support external audits providing documentation and explanations as needed to auditors.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. * CPA certification a plus. * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial accounting/reporting, with at least 3 years in the upstream oil and gas industry. * Financial reporting or public accounting experience preferred * Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
