The Role Aquarian Holdings is seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant to join its Finance and Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Chief Accounting Officer. This 5 day a week in-office position is located in New York City. Responsibilities: Facilitate the monthly closes through preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries and flux analysis Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual investor and regulatory reporting requirements. Including financial statements, management reporting packages and contract invoicing Maintain records and schedules for specific general ledger accounts including but not limited to cash, accrued expenses, debt financing and accounts payable Research accounting guidance to assist in accounting memo writing on complex positions Handle routine information requests from management, tax advisors and auditors Assist third party consultants on the implementation of accounting process improvements Manage the accounts payable process including invoice coding, complex expense allocations and liquidity needs Ideal profile and characteristics: Exhibit a strong understanding of US GAAP Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while utilizing effective time management Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects and daily tasks Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and eligible to sit for the CPA Certified Public Accountant, strongly preferred 3-5 years of experience in public accounting firm or asset management experience Working knowledge of GAAP Advanced skills in MS Excel Knowledge of Netsuite, a plus
