General Summary of Position MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional clinical and administrative support consistent with our policies and procedures. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing patient intake, laboratory testing, venipuncture, and assisting with patient follow-ups under the supervision of a physician. You will also transmit vital X-ray diagnostic images and administer medications as required. Primary Duties: Adhere to MedStar Health's Code of Conduct and Compliance plan, ensuring compliance with governmental and accreditation guidelines. Participate in all required training including safety and infection control. Utilize new technology and electronic health records while managing patient flow effectively, demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Perform venipuncture, manage laboratory testing, and conduct X-ray procedures following medical provider orders, maintaining strict safety standards. Provide care that aligns with MedStar’s mission and values, fostering patient trust and loyalty by exceeding their expectations. Assist coworkers during downtime, supporting patient exams, testing, and education under the guidance of medical providers. Qualifications: Associate degree required; completion of an approved Radiology Technologist program is necessary. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification required. Maryland, Virginia, or DC state license required. Prior experience in a medical or ambulatory health setting is preferred. 2 years of medical office experience is advantageous. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68.
