Join Our Dynamic Team! We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to become an essential part of our MedStar Health Urgent Care team! As a vital member of our healthcare family, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties in line with our policies and procedures. Position Overview: As a Radiology Technologist, you will work closely under a physician's supervision to ensure quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include patient intake, administering laboratory tests, and providing support throughout the patient journey. You'll demonstrate your skills by administering medications as directed and performing X-ray diagnostics. Through effective documentation and support, you will enhance the patient experience and promote optimal patient flow. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to MedStar Health's Code of Conduct and comply with all governmental and accreditation guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning and preparing patient rooms and sterilizing equipment. Embrace innovative technology, managing patient flow, and maintaining transparent communication with patients and their families. Perform various tests under supervision, including EKGs, spirometry, and venipuncture, aligning with the MedStar Health practices. Provide continuous support within the team by assisting in patient processing and offering patient education. Administer oral and injectable medications as qualified, ensuring a respectful atmosphere for patients and colleagues. Contribute to enhancing patient care and experiences by actively participating in new clinical and service initiatives. Qualifications: Associate degree is required, along with completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification is mandatory. Current Maryland, Virginia, or DC state license is required. Previous externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting is preferred. Two years of medical office experience is an asset. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is essential. This position offers a competitive salary range of $29.15 - $51.68.
