Job Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality inspections and audits of manufacturing operations, components, and finished goods. This role ensures compliance with quality standards by executing product activities, reconciling quality records, supporting corrective and preventive actions, and assisting with supplier audits. The technician performs receiving, in-process, and final inspections aligned with quality metrics and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct process audits and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Record measurement data in database systems for analysis and timely reporting.
  • Read and interpret blueprint drawings; proficiently use precision measuring instruments (CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality compliance and identify rejected items.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual carts to move and store materials safely.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use, OSHA standards, Environmental Health & Safety rules, and ISO requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with leadership and quality teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Work required overtime and flexible hours as business demands.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


  • Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience with knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, squares, and square roots.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen.
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measures and technical instructions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Email).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to write neatly and maintain accurate documentation for traceability.
  • Physical ability to perform manufacturing floor mobility and handle repetitive motions.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ certifications are a plus.


  • Physical Requirements
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and arms, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sometimes without assistance.
  • Must have good vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment includes exposure to moving parts, oil, grease, coolants, fumes, and airborne particulates.
