Position Description
The City of Bothell is seeking a Public Records Specialist to join a dedicated, enthusiastic team of professionals in our fast-paced Community Development Department! Responsibilities include records management, coordinating public record requests, and serving as the expert in records retention and electronic records.

What will you do in this position? Process public disclosure requests for records, clarify and prioritize elements of requests, prepare response letters, and schedule appointments to review records.
Receive, verify, and enter records and reports into computer tracking systems.
Process forms and files, queries system databases, and collect statistical data for reports.
Respond to general inquiries from the public; provides information, instructions, and assistance to assist customers having business with the City.
Maintain and enforce confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and City information
Monitor staff compliance to security procedures and privacy laws, policies and guidelines.
A successful candidate in this position will: Work together with the Bothell Community and Departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships.
Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
