What You'll Be Doing: As a Part-Time Lead Material Handler, you will: Mentor and train new material handlers, stepping in for supervisors when necessary. Engage in lifting, lowering, and carrying products in a high-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and order. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and cherry pickers, to efficiently move products within the warehouse, all while adhering to established safety procedures. Your role is vital to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we strive to deliver excellence to our customers. What You Bring to the Table: Certification as a Material Handling Equipment Operator, with the ability to operate required equipment safely. A commitment to maintaining a clean work area. A collaborative spirit to build strong relationships and resolve issues with colleagues and customers. A quick adaptation to safety procedures to uphold a secure work environment. The ability to work in a warehouse setting despite seasonal temperature changes. Basic English language skills for effective communication. Basic Qualifications: 12+ months of related warehouse experience or a combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. Ability to pass any necessary drug screenings as permitted by law. If hired as a full-time associate, the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shifts is required based on business needs. Capability to lift, push, or pull equipment and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds. Must wear safety composite work shoes. Ability to remain on your feet and walk throughout your shift. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
