Infrastructure Project Manger Location:St. Louis MO Contract/Fulltime
Description: Responsibilities will include driving the management of scope, schedule and budget in coordination with IT delivery teams. Candidate must be a self-starter and who can think like an owner and has the ability to learn and understand what makes the business customer tick so that they can anticipate needs and issues. They will be working with limited guidance from an experienced Program or Project Manager who has ultimate accountability. This is a collaborative role, not an administrative role.
Daily Responsibilities / Scope of Role and Project: Manage and control aspects of project delivery (triple constraint: scope, schedule and budget) for large-scale, comprehensive project delivery.
Technologies Required (including yrs. exp): None specifically required, experience with SDLC (Waterfall and/or AGILE), experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio; experience with MS Project.
Professional Experiences Required (including yrs. exp): PMP or Agile certification or Six Sigma Green Belt; or higher desired. Practical project management experience for 8+ years strongly preferred; PM experience within IT, network, data center or Infrastructure preferred.
Experience with multiple large-scale project implementations a must. Software Asset Management, Software Compliance or IT Security a plus. Exposure to network and/or data center tools a plus. Top Seven Skills to Assess: a. Ability to manage triple constraint and PM fundamentals b. Ability to organize and manage task and requests in fast-paced environment. c. Ability to critically analyze business situation and assist in developing solutions. d. Ability to collaborate with high performing teams. e. Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately communicate at project level, manager level and executive level. f. Competency with PM tools and techniques (word, excel, ppt, Visio, MS project, etc.) g. Desire to learn and be part of the solution. Soft Skills Required: Organization and strong communication (written and verbal) required. Relationship building and critical analysis. Able to quickly navigate a large enterprise and build relationships with multiple teams.
