Associate Staffing is supporting a leading energy company in their search for two IT Infrastructure / Network Project Managers to join their IT Services Project Management team in Richmond, VA.

Length of Assignment: 1 year

Schedule: MondayFriday, hybrid (on-site every other week) | Local candidates only

What You Will Be Doing

As an IT Infrastructure / Network Project Manager, you will lead and manage infrastructure projects ranging from $100k to $1M. These projects will focus on areas such as WAN / circuit connectivity, data centers, building renovations, security architecture, and network upgrades. This role involves working directly with internal stakeholders, steering committees, and outside vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities Include

Manage large IT Infrastructure capital projects. Establish and maintain project governance plans and work closely with project sponsors, steering committees, and stakeholders. Lead RFP processes, negotiate SOWs, and manage vendor performance. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets. Track and report project progress against established goals. Identify and manage project risks. Ensure adherence to waterfall / predictive project management methodologies. Provide project leadership from inception to completion with accountability for project success.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Prior IT Infrastructure Project Management experience handling large capital projects. Experience with waterfall / predictive methodologies. Strong background in project governance and stakeholder engagement. Proven experience managing RFP processes, SOW negotiations, and vendor performance. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Project; MS Project Online and SAP experience preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in a regulated industry or utilities sector.

Certifications

PMP Certification (required) Six Sigma Blue or Black Belt (preferred).

Required Experience

Minimum of 6+ years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects. Experience with project budgets of at least $3M and teams of 15+ people.

Education

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
