Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a basic understanding of IT infrastructure and network communications (Firewall, VIP, F5 Listener, Port, etm).
Assist in evaluating technical requirements and propose solutions aligning with business objectives, SOM best practices, and industry standards.
Provide oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management for large, complex projects, typically longer than 6 months with 20+ team members, involving vendor participation, complex schedules, and system integration.
Ensure projects adhere to the State of Michigan (SOM) project management methodology (SUITE), investment management, and systems engineering practices.
Perform long-term release planning based on organizational direction.
Interact regularly with project management teams regarding budget, quality, and schedule status.
Escalate issues and risks to executives and exercise project quality control to meet scope expectations.
