HR MANAGER - PAYROLL Pittsburgh, PA $100,000-$120,000 + Bonus
Are you an HR professional with deep knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance in the construction space? We're working with a well-established and growing construction company in Pittsburgh, PA seeking a hands-on HR Manager to lead all HR functions with a strong focus on payroll processing and prevailing wage reporting.
OVERVIEW OF THE HR MANAGER ROLE:
Oversee and manage all HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
Handle weekly certified payroll processing, ensuring full compliance with prevailing wage laws and union requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison for audits related to payroll and labor compliance.
Maintain and update HR policies in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Partner with operations to support workforce planning and jobsite HR support.
Lead recruitment efforts for field and administrative roles.
Manage benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE HR MANAGER:
5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong payroll background with direct experience handling certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements. Knowledge of union labor agreements is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work onsite and collaborate with project managers, field staff, and leadership.
