Seeking a HR Labor Manager to beresponsible for overseeing and managing labor and employee relations within thehospital. This includes adjudicating third-step grievances filed by collectivebargaining units, investigating and resolving internal and external employeecomplaints, and counseling management on the appropriate use of correctivediscipline. The Labor Manager is tasked with preparing for and representing thehospital in arbitration, unemployment, and government agency hearings, as wellas anticipating and recommending new HR policies and procedures. Additionally,the role involves training line managers in labor and employee relationsskills, acting as a liaison between 1199SEIU and hospital departments, andconducting departmental labor-management meetings. The Labor Manager alsosupervises assigned labor and employee relations staff, conducts exitinterviews to assess employee retention trends, and negotiates settlements forgrievances and arbitration cases. Maintaining accurate records related togrievances, arbitrations, agency complaints, discipline, and unemploymentclaims is also a critical responsibility, along with promoting positiveemployee relations through recognition programs and employee engagementinitiatives. Furthermore, the Labor Manager will consult with legal counsel asneeded, participate in union negotiations, and handle other duties and specialprojects as assigned.

Compensation: $ 81,500 - $90,000

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Human Resources role with direct responsibility for labor relations and employee relations management.
