Job Title - Elder Pride Services Opal Resident Services Coordinator

FLSA Classification - nonexempt

Salary Grade - $25.50 per hour 20 hours per week

Benefits - Paid time off and sick leave prorated by FTE. 403b with a 4% match after 90 days of employment, 11.5 Holidays. Discounts on Preschool, After School, and Summer Camp. EAP program, Fitness center on site.

Report to - Director of Community Services

Work environment - 12691 NW Dogwood, Portland, Oregon 97229. Occasional required meetings offsite, most frequently at 1737 NW 26th Ave, Portland, Oregon 97210

Schedule - Monday to Friday between 9AM and 5PM. Occasional weekend and evening hours as required.

Job Description- Summary

The Resident Services Coordinator works at the Opal, a 54-unit housing community created for LGBTQ+ older adults to provide a safe and supportive home environment where they can thrive. The Housing Stability and Resource Specialist works independently and collaboratively with Friendly House/EPS and property manager teams, and Elder Pride Service community partners, to support housing stability and resource connection. The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is knowledgeable of LBGTQ+ history, the issues of older adults, and understands the diversity of local LGBTQ+ community and the intersection of aging and the queer experience.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time up to 30-50%, with the ability to move, traverse in the office and work environment. Use hands/fingers to handle/ or feel. Operate the computer and other office equipment. Occasionally ascend stairs or walk in uneven terrain. May need to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend. Communicate information and ideas so others will understand and exchange accurate information in these situations. The ability to see or observe detail at close range. May lift or move items up to 30lbs. May be exposed to smells, cold/heat and outdoor environments.
