Our client, a leader in the utility industry, is seeking an Electrical Technician Associate to join their team. As an Electrical Technician Associate, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to work, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Electrical Technician Associate
Location: New Haven, IN
Pay Rate: $23.57/hr.
What's the Job?
Investigate and gather field data related to the replacement of utility poles and customer design work.
Conduct site visits to collect necessary data and utilize design software for structural analysis.
Create detailed work packets for construction crews and obtain required permits and easements.
Analyze load information for new customers and assist in various engineering tasks as assigned.
Participate in local storm restoration efforts as a damage assessor when needed.
What's Needed?
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related utility industry experience, or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Basic technical knowledge and computer literacy.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Strong planning and organizational skills to manage routine work efficiently.
Willingness to travel for storm damage assessment work outside the local district.
