Dental Assistant Opportunity

Seeking a dental assistant who has a passion to help the community by providing dental services in a Denti-Cal based office that doesn't operate a clinical practice but as a private practice for Denti-Cal patients. This office also accepts other insurance so it is a healthy mixture of insurance base patients. Responsibilities include welcoming patients in the dental office, seating and dismissing patients for the day, preparing patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort, selecting and setting up instruments, equipment and material needed, sterilizing instruments according to state regulations, assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, undertaking lab tasks as instructed, providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions, keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient records.

Dental assistant characteristics: disciplined, resilient, persistent, conscientious, loyal, ambitious, honest, flexible, integrity. Working hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Job type: full-time. Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour. Requirements: high school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred. Dental assistant certification or at least 1 year minimum dental experience. X-Ray License. Dental assistant qualifications/skills: dental health maintenance, use of dental technology, infection control, patient services, creating a safe, effective environment, listening, teamwork, bedside manner.
