Compensation: $21 - $33 hourly Responsibilities: Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed What You’ll Do Prepare and organize sterilized instruments, supplies, and materials for dental procedures Chairside assist dentists and hygienists during examinations and treatments Perform pediatric prophylaxis (Pedo Prophies) Float assist across rooms as needed Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays) Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and postoperative care Record vital signs, update medical histories, and maintain accurate patient records Sterilize and disinfect equipment and maintain infection control standards Schedule follow-up appointments and provide clear treatment explanations to patients
Qualifications: Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification is required Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Certification or Associate’s Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required What We’re Looking For Current Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) certification in Minnesota (or eligible soon) Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program (CODA) Current BLS/CPR certification Experience using dental software and digital radiography Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills A warm, team-first attitude and a commitment to patient comfort and care About Company Our Core Values Maturity Integrity Positivity and Humor Team Attitude Customer Service Philosophy We provide the highest standard of personalized patient care while having fun, creating an inviting atmosphere, and building a lifetime of confidence and healthy dental habits.
