Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts following a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule

• Required to work 2 weekend shifts per pay period (two weeks)

• Holiday requirement applicable

• Call or standby requirement - maximum 3 per 12 weeks

• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity in 12-bed unit

• Must have more than 2 years of CVICU experience

• Required to take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (must score 80%)

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Must have experience with IABP, CRRT, and fresh open heart surgery patients from OR

• Required to titrate drips including Dexmedetomidine, Propofol, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, and Cardene

• Responsible for reading cardiac strips as RNs monitor telemetry

• May float to ICU/PCU/MS/Telemetry units on both campuses as needed

• Impella experience desired

• Navy blue scrubs required

• Unit-specific orientation provided

• Charting system: Cerner

• Care for patients with AMI, CAD, PVD diagnoses

• Work with RT equipment including ventilators, BiPap, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high flow oxygen

• 50-mile radius rule applies

This healthcare facility operates a 12-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit providing specialized care for cardiac patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. The facility maintains 24/7 intensivist coverage and comprehensive cardiac services including support for patients with intraaortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy, and fresh post-operative cardiac surgery patients. The unit features advanced monitoring technology and respiratory therapy support to deliver high-quality critical care services.
