Position Overview Effectively implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document care according to policies and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs and responses to care. Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions. Provide both primary and emergency care for various medical situations. Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as directed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans for all patients. Guide and direct support staff while upholding professional nursing standards. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is necessary. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply problem-solving techniques in patient care.
