Bridge Program Director

The primary responsibility of the Bridge Program Director is to aid students in improving their academic performance and social readiness to join the mainstream school community. This position is supervised by the Head of School, with a focus on assisting students in achieving their goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Must be able to track student learning and academic performance. Must be able to facilitate study groups and workshops. Must be able to create and design a study plan for students. Must be able to develop success strategies. Must be able to demonstrate positive regard to students. Must have excellent speaking and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate clearly to students and parents. Must be able to encourage students to learn from the past to enhance the future. Must be able to help students determine skills, strategies and behaviors they want to enhance. Must be able to explain services to students and parents. Must be able to provide resources for the Bridge Program. Must be able to create education plans for short and long term goals for students. Must be able to implement academic support by providing on demand support personalized assistance to our MDCA&CH student community. Assisting the director with planning and implementing strategies. Assisting the director with projects and initiatives by completing assigned tasks. Building and maintaining positive relationships with students and the MDCA&CH community. Scheduling, organizing, and participating in events. Must be able to collaborate with the Head of School and other academic and Social Services team members to coordinate daily activities. Must be able to use verbal and written communication skills. Must have organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks. Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Possess or be qualified to apply for a Professional Teaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education 3 + years of experience preferred Exhibit a strong faith and exemplary lifestyle. Preference will be given to applicants who are members of a congregation of the churches of Christ. All applicants must be members of a local church and able to sign and abide by the MDCA&CH statement of faith in order to be considered Must be able to establish and maintain effective professional relationships Have experience using classroom technology, electronic resources, programs, and platforms Ability to accept direction and professional development Ability to exercise good judgment Must submit to a background check
