Associate Attorney – Workers’ Compensation Defense Experience: 5+ years Location: Long Beach, CA / Hybrid Salary Range: $195,000 – $260,000 annually + performance-based bonus Book of Business: Minimum 30 active files with capacity for growth
About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney with a strong background in Workers’ Compensation defense to join our dynamic and collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of litigation experience and an existing book of business (minimum 30 files), with the ability to expand their caseload over time.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who values autonomy, high-quality legal work, and a supportive team environment. You’ll work closely with experienced litigators and have access to the resources needed to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of Workers’ Compensation defense matters from inception to resolution Represent public and private sector clients in all phases of litigation, including hearings, depositions, and trials Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis and recommendations Maintain strong client relationships and ensure responsive, effective communication Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and support firm-wide goals Contribute to business development and client retention efforts
Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in California (additional states a plus) Minimum 5 years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience Proven ability to manage a caseload independently Existing book of business (30+ files) with potential for growth Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Why Join Us
