VP - Branch Manager Regional Team Leader (Providence RI)

OVERVIEW: Branch Manager Team Leader promotes and supports conformance retail business development with the Bank's strategies, policies, and procedures. Assists the Bank in expanding, developing, and maintaining the Bank's customer base of several branches while consistently maintaining high employee productivity and morale. Assists Branch Managers in managing the full-service and/or high school branches specifically assigned to their region.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and the community in which it serves.
1.Responsible for the proper functioning of the branches in the assigned region. Participates in setting branch goals that are commensurate with Bank-wide objectives and monitors performance in achieving these goals.
2.Actively participates as a Team Leader for the Business Development Team. Responsible for coordinating calling efforts with business partners. Guides Branch Managers within their region in business development and customer retention. May actively participate in customer calls with Branch Managers and monitor follow-up action, as necessary.
3.Monitors the quality of work produced by branches and works to implement corrective action and coaching to strengthen weaknesses or identified deficiencies.
4.Meets regularly with Branch Managers and staff to disseminate information from the 1st VP Manager Of Retail Banking and to review various management reports, including but not limited to, deposit account activity and migration reports; business development efforts; audit and regulatory findings; teller differences; overdrafts; compliance and quality control findings; branch security; and the tracking of goals. Provides coaching, guidance and advice to Branch Managers, Supervisors, and support staff in efforts to meet Bank objectives and goals or to otherwise comply with established policies and procedures.
5.Collaborates with the 1st VP Manager of Retail Banking and the other Branch Manager Team Leaders to ensure consistent application of branch policies and procedures, and recommends and implements changes to support prescribed requirements.
6.Participates in staffing and training recommendations for assigned Branches. May participate in the interview and hiring process and make hiring and promotional recommendations. Ensures that bank policies, procedures, customer service philosophies, and sales objectives are consistently implemented among the employees assigned to their specific branches. Advises Senior Management on training needs or disciplinary actions and provides coaching to staff members, as needed.
7. Proactively intervenes in customer service problems, as necessary, to ensure timely and proper resolution.
8. Participates in interdepartmental meetings and other specifically assigned projects or tasks, as assigned by Senior Management.
9. Promotes and represents the Bank through involvement in community organizations and guides Branch Managers in community service.
10. Acts as a branch contact during disaster recovery, and may actively manage one or more branches, as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Seven plus years of progressively responsible experience in branch services or a relevant equivalency. Excellent analytical, managerial, planning, organizational, communication, negotiation and decision making skills. Working knowledge of the Bank's product and services. Able to use office equipment including computer terminal and applicable software applications. Able to travel between Bank branches. Able to work extended or weekend hours.
SUPERVISORY SCOPE: 3+ direct 25+ indirect
INDEPENDENT ACTION: Establishes short-range plans and objectives within scope of Bank-wide policies and goals. Consults with departmental management regarding policy interpretation or exceptions.
