Hours: 15–25 hours/week (flexible scheduling)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vocational Habilitation Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Vocational Habilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing vocational counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment. You will work closely with clients to identify their strengths, interests, and skills, and help them develop a plan to achieve their vocational goals.
· Provide direct support and vocational training to individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with DODD guidelines.
· Lead participants in daily vocational activities including work readiness tasks, skill-building, and on-site business operations (e.g., online store fulfillment).
· Assist with community-based job exploration, including job shadowing, retail store visits, and volunteering.
· Support participants in developing workplace soft skills such as communication, time management, and professionalism.
· Follow individualized service plans (ISPs) and help participants achieve employment-related goals.
· Maintain accurate daily documentation using Brittco or other DODD-approved electronic systems.
· Ensure activities align with DODD Vocational Habilitation service rules and meet Medicaid billing standards.
· Collaborate with program supervisors to develop meaningful, person-centered vocational curriculum.
· Provide supervision and coaching in both group and 1:1 settings as required by acuity level.
· Model professional behavior and promote an inclusive, empowering environment.
· Minimum 1 year experience working in a DODD-certified agency.
· Prior experience providing vocational or employment-related support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
· Strong understanding of DODD Vocational Habilitation service rules and Employment First principles.
· Ability to provide own transportation to support community outings.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· CPR/First Aid and DODD training (or willingness to complete upon hire).
