Position: Vice President of Information Technology Focus Areas: Data Management, Analytics, Reporting, Networking, and IT Support
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Spearhead initiatives in data management, analytics, reporting, systems infrastructure, and networking to align IT capabilities with organizational objectives. Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and enhance the company’s technological infrastructure, including critical information systems and data networks. IT Roadmap & Execution: Define and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals, ensuring the roadmap reflects current and future needs. Policy and Process Development: Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including project management frameworks, SDLC methodologies, and change management protocols. Ensure database requirements adhere to established standards. Vendor Management: Cultivate strategic relationships with IT vendors to maximize system efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational priorities. Collaboration with Leadership: Partner with business leaders to identify technological gaps, recommend solutions, and drive enhancements in operational efficiency. Innovation and Improvement: Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities for system and process optimization. Financial Oversight: Develop and manage IT budgets for operational expenses and capital projects, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term objectives. Facility Management: Supervise relationships with facility management and leasing partners, ensuring optimal utilization of company assets. Security and Compliance: Maintain robust data security and disaster recovery plans, ensuring adherence to HIPAA, PHI, and other regulatory standards. Other Responsibilities: Address additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in IT, with a strong focus on data management, business intelligence, and complex systems architecture. At least 5 years of leadership experience in a large, multifaceted IT organization. Background in the healthcare or health plan industry is essential. Technical Expertise: Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-level solutions, including data warehouses, reporting systems, and data engineering frameworks. Strategic Alignment: A deep understanding of how business strategies influence IT requirements and solutions. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance standards and audit requirements, particularly within healthcare environments.
