What You'll DoAs a Vehicle and Hydraulic Mechanic, you'll:
Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to maintain our fleet vehicles and hydraulic systems.
Perform repairs on everything from engines and transmissions to hydraulics and braking systems.
Conduct routine maintenance and in-depth troubleshooting for all system vehicles and equipment.
Assist with roadside breakdowns and transport vehicles when needed (including occasional overnight stays).
Ensure inspections and documentation meet all regulatory standards (State, Federal, D.O.T.).
Keep our shop and work areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
Have 3+ years' experience as a general vehicle mechanic (hydraulic system experience preferred).
Have strong knowledge of:
Diesel and gasoline engines
Drive train systems, brakes (including anti-lock and air brakes), AC systems
Fuel injection and electrical/hydraulic schematics
Are skilled in welding, cutting, brazing, and fabrication.
Have the ability to read and interpret technical instructions and service data.
Have basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and documentation.
Understand the importance of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Are dependable, organized, and a strong team player.
High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent work experience).
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (7 years required).
Must pass all required DOT physicals and drug screenings.
Certifications in:
Air conditioning recovery
Brake inspection
NC D.O.T. vehicle inspections
Hydraulic equipment inspections
