Salary: $90K to $130K total compensation package, depending on experience. Relocation assistance may be available

What You'll Do
Solve Real-World Challenges - Research user needs and design intuitive solutions that aid in pushing joist industry technology forward
Drive Design Excellence - Lead the charge in creating, prototyping, and refining user interfaces from concept to implementation
Empower Users - Design exceptional user experiences for software applications, including wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Collaborate Cross-Functionally - Partner with engineers and stakeholders to align design with product needs
Conduct User Research & Testing - Gather insights, refine concepts, and improve design effectiveness
Develop & Maintain Design Systems - Establish scalable UI components and design patterns
Requirements
Experience designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces in a collaborative environment
Strong foundation in UX/UI principles, wireframing, and prototyping
Passion for usability testing, research-driven design, and problem-solving
Strong skills in organization, logical thinking, and creative execution
Technical Collaboration - Ability to work closely with developers and understand technical constraints
Willingness to Learn - Open to learning new design tools and emerging technologies
Ability to work with and improve existing design frameworks
Experience in designing for complex enterprise applications
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
Experience with design systems and component libraries
Preferred Qualifications (Don't let these keep you from applying!)
BS degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Computer Science (or a related field/equivalent)
4+ years of experience in UX/UI Design
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or other UX/UI tools
Experience in manufacturing, enterprise applications, or ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Industry Knowledge - Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows. Structural or Civil Engineering knowledge is a plus!
Leadership Qualities - Ability to inspire, lead and mentor junior designers and advocate for user-centered design
Location
