The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and fostering long-term partnerships with key clients. They are responsible for developing and implementing strategic account plans, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the successful execution of business strategies.
In this role, the Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for designated accounts, understanding their business objectives, anticipating their needs, and delivering customized solutions to drive value and maximize customer satisfaction. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align company resources and capabilities with client requirements.
Success in this position is measured by the Account Manager's ability to meet and exceed revenue targets, expand market share within accounts, and strengthen relationships built on trust and mutual success. Proactive, innovative, and results-driven, the Account Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and enhancing the company's competitive position in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs, goals, and challenges to build rapport and trust. Cultivate relationships with various stakeholders within the client's organization, including both corporate- level contacts and day-to-day operational contacts, to ensure comprehensive support and engagement. Oversee the health and status of assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Proactively address any issues and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing all communications and inquiries. Ensure timely and effective resolution of client concerns and requests. Identify high-potential accounts and develop strategies to transition them to strategic accounts, ensuring a focus on long-term growth and partnership. Manage and drive growth across multiple client locations, ensuring consistent service delivery and alignment with client objectives. Conduct annual Spend Analysis Questionnaires (SAQ) to analyze and understand competing spend patterns, identifying areas for growth and improvement. Utilize channel partners, referrals, and leads from inside sales to generate warmer leads. Develop strategies to convert these leads into new business opportunities. Ensure all client needs are met within the agreed service level parameters. Coordinate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client requirements. Act as the quarterback for client-related initiatives, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives. Maintain a strong understanding of our products and services. Provide clients with accurate and comprehensive information to help them make informed decisions. Regularly review account performance metrics and client feedback to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with clients to develop tailored strategies that align with their business objectives and drive mutual success. Collect and relay client feedback to internal teams to drive product and service improvements. Advocate for client needs within the organization. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Proven experience as a Strategic Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or similar role in managing high-value client accounts. Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic account plans. Strong ability to build, maintain, and grow relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within client organizations. Exceptional strategic planning and analytical skills to identify and pursue growth opportunities. Demonstrated ability to drive account growth, achieve sales targets, and maximize revenue. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Skilled negotiator with a track record of closing deals and managing contract renewals. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. In-depth knowledge of the company's products and services, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new products and features. REQUIREMENT To achieve or exceed individual monthly goals.
