Job Details: We are seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our prestigious legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of trusts and estates matters, with a focus on high net worth clients. This role requires extensive knowledge of trust and estate law, excellent client management skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a wide range of trust and estate matters to a diverse client base, including high net worth individuals and families. Draft, review and revise a variety of legal documents related to trusts and estates, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate documents. Represent clients in probate and surrogate court proceedings. Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and devise tailored strategies to achieve their estate planning goals. Maintain the highest level of client service, ensuring that all client inquiries and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and work closely with external advisors, including accountants and financial advisors, to ensure a comprehensive approach to estate planning. Remain up-to-date with changes in trust and estate law and inform clients of any potential impact on their estate plans. Uphold the strictest levels of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Qualifications: A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Must be an IL licensed attorney in good standing. A minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a demonstrated track record of success. Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. A high degree of professional ethics and integrity. Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal databases. Must have a deep understanding of confidentiality requirements in the legal industry. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
