**Job Title: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse**

**Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)**

**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our healthcare team for night shifts. As a critical member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population with various medical-surgical diagnoses. Your expertise in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing will be crucial in managing patients’ health and implementing care plans.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and manage patients with respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, and those requiring palliative, end-of-life, or hospice care.
- Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic charting system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in critical care situations and utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed.
- Float to different units within the facility as required.
- Uphold compliance with the organization's policies, including maintenance of punctuality and adherence to attendance guidelines.

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
- Strong EKG interpretation skills; must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding.
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred.
- Valid nursing license, with proof of license required upon submission.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage patients with complex medical conditions.
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is required.

**Unit Details:**
- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: Approximately 16 patients with a nursing ratio of 6 patients per nurse.
- Required weekend coverage and flexibility with scheduling.
- Orientation period consists of 48 hours of training specific to unit protocols.

**Compliance Requirements:**
- Full compliance file must be completed by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
- Education verification through a third party will be conducted.
- No open cases on the background check will be accepted.
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be accepted for this position.

**Additional Information:**
- Orientation includes 2-4 hours of non-billable modules tailored to unit specifics.
- Candidates should be prepared for possible floating to any campus within the healthcare network as needed.
