· Number of Beds – 35 plus 5 LDRP rooms

· Number of Staff – 4 FT, 1 PT, 5 PRN

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – 1 RT, 1 Supervisor, Manger goes between McDowell and Blue Ridge Hospitals

o Night Shift – currently 1, would like to have 2

· Patient Ratios – We see all patients that are on respiratory services

· Type of equipment – V60, GE R860 Carescape Vents, Vapotherms, Comfort Flow HFNC, HT70 Transport vent, Hamilton C1 Vent/bipap

· EMR - Cerner

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Acute care, ICU ventilators / ED experience

· 2+ years experience, NBRC, ACLS, BLS, NRP

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· NRP – some experience with resuscitation of babies

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

· Intubations, ABG draws and interpretation

· Critical thinking: ABG’s, vent settings and adjustments

· IS, FV, EZPAP, Bipap, Nebs, etc.

Best personality Fit:

· People person, caring person, and family oriented. Critical thinker who can work on their own.

· BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
